Fileize Update Information!

Hello again! It's been over a year since I've updated this space, and I apologize for that. I actually forgot I made this part of Fileize! At any rate, I'd like to take some time to update you on what's going on with Fileize at the moment. We've been in a perpetual state of Beta since launching more than 3 years ago as Pulseshift. Promised features such as commenting and favoriting have been repeatedly put on the backburner while I worked on other projects and went to my full time job.

I think those features aren't really important towards my goal with Fileize. Fileize was never really meant to be a social website, it's aim is to simply serve as a spot to keep your files, without them getting lost among the thousands of other files other people upload. That doesn't mean they wont ever get implemented, however. Instead, what I'm doing is completely overhauling Fileize as it currently stands. I think the current layout and setup was great for 2009 when it was first implemented, but times have changed and the whole site feels a bit dated.

Since late 2010, I've been slowly working on this huge update in my spare time, and it certainly has taken a while. I don't want to give away too much, as I'm a sucker for surprises, but I will tell you that while the new site is going to be heavy with new technology, I will offer an alternative that ties in to the same backend called Fileize Lite, which will be in the same veign as single-file, single-purpose uploaders. To end this blog post, here's a few little screenshots from the latest dev build:
